Genesis 22:7-8 KJV: And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? 8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
Isaac was patient to follow his father to the peak of the mountain, he trusted him all the while to do what is best. But he couldn’t prevent the words triggered by doubts when he couldn’t see any lamb for the sacrifice, it pushed him to ask his father about the lamb for the sacrifice.
This may be your case at present stage of your faith in God, you have prayed, fasted, and might have received assurance from heaven that you will receive your heart desires. But time and years has past and the results are no where to be found and you are tempted to ask God different questions roaming in your heart.
If God could provide for Abraham a lamb from no where in the twinkle of an eye. In the same way he will also provide an answer for that your long term prayer request. Don’t lose hope, don’t doubt God or your prayers, He hasn’t changed from being God. Continue to follow steadfastly and testimony awaits you in Zion.
