“Lord why have you forsaken me? After all my prayers for my sister” Laurel said as she broke out in tears. She could hear the incessant knocking and calling of her parents, but chosed not to open. “The worst of it Lord, is that I couldn’t get to hold her cold hands all because she needed to be isolated”.
“Lord why?” She screamed this time. At that moment she felt His presence with her. She thought it was a dream when her ears heard sobs of which she couldn’t see it’s source. Someone was weeping with her, of course her parents stopped knocking and were away mourning in the other room. Who could it be?
“My child” the voice called, a shiver of fear shook her bones. “Be not afraid, I loved your sister as much as I love you, but everything happens for a reason, I understand your pain, weep no more for your sister has found greater joy than that which she has ever known and soon all my children will meet me to part no more”. She could feel the wave of His spirit around her soothing her wounded heart. “Lord I love you” she said in a close whisper wrapped up in an invisible embrace.
